There are several pretty simple steps that you can take to maximize the lifetime of your device.

1.Read the manual.
This is the most basic way to help protect your projector. Read the manual that comes with your projector. It will instruct you on how to properly operate the device and will tell you any special precautions you may need to take that are specific to the projector that you purchased.

2.Allow projector to cool.
If you want to extend the lamp life of your projector, you need to let your unit cool completely before turning it off or unplugging it. Excessive heat is a huge contributor to the shortening of a projector’s lamp life.
